From One Heart to Another.
“Live your life… One beautiful moment, one step at a time,”
(Heart). We should all get to live this way. But there are kids out there
who do not get to do this. Some kids don’t even have shoes that fit their
feet right. That's where Shoes From The Heart comes in. Shoes From
The Heart has been giving children shoes across the United States since
2012, (Heart). I first learned about this non-profit organization a few
years ago because my parents were talking about how cool they thought
it was. I soon realized after talking about it with them that my neighbors
are the people who run it. Shoes From The Heart is the best out there
and they deserve a wealth of donations. Every kid deserves a new pair of
shoes now and then, so just imagine the smile on their face when they
get the new shoes they weren't supposed to.
Shoes From The Heart is a non-profit organization that helps kids
in need by giving them shoes. Their mission is to support children
around the United States in their time of need. They serve people of all
races and religions. They look to be a Guiding Light for all children.
They believe that they want to make a difference in the lives of children
affected by circumstances that they cannot control. Shoes from the
Heart has delivered numerous shoes across the United States. One of
these is that they delivered 200 pairs of athletic shoes to Daughtery
County Elementary students in 2022.
Donnie Bonuchi is the president of Shoes from the Heart. He is the
co-founder with his deceased wife Cindy Bonuchi. After Mrs. Bonuchi
passed, Mr. Bonuchi decided to continue her vision of helping kids in
need of shoes. They have many sponsors from around the United States
and will give a new pair of shoes to a kid in need for every $15. About
one in three children in the United States live in poverty or low-income
households, (Childhood Poverty Crisis – Shoes That Fit). That means
that a ton of kids don't have nice shoes that fit them. So that's where
Shoes From The Heart comes in. They have been helping this cause by
donating brand-new shoes to schools, churches, and many other children
in the United States. I have seen almost a hundred kids without shoes
that properly fit just in Missouri. It's almost a shame to see kids with
their toes sticking out of their shoes and even without shoes.
You might be thinking why would you donate just for a kid to get a
new pair of shoes? Also, shoes are not that expensive, right? Well, some
families don't have the money to even pay for their apartment, electricity
or food, let alone a pair of shoes. Shoes are a necessity in today's society.
If you see a kid without shoes on the street you probably are thinking
they are low on money and don't have the greatest life right? Well, that's
why Shoes From the Heart does this. This is because some families can't
afford this and a child deserves a good nice fitting pair of shoes. They
have gone to many schools and given all of the kids brand-new shoes.
This shows how good of people they are.
We need to spread awareness about this non-profit organization.
They do everything in their power to make the world a better place for
the kids of the United States. They are here for the greater good. We
need to help them continue doing what they love, helping kids. If you
wanted to help you could just search their website and donate $15 right
now for a kid to get a new pair of shoes. Do what's right for the kids.
Kids are in need of our help. There are kids all over without shoes
or shoes that are worn out and do not even fit the kids. Shoes From the
Heart is here to make the world a better place for them. We need to help
them help the kids by donating or offering our support to the
organization. Imagine seeing the smile on the kid's face when you walk
in with a brand-new pair of shoes. It would be beautiful, wouldn't it?
